Hiya folks. If you’re like me and love the new RCS chat features from Google but noticing that you can’t use it, allow me to help out.

  1. Make sure you’re using an SMS client capable of RCS

These types of apps are Google Messages and Samsung Messages (and probably many more to follow).

2. Install Carrier Services from the Google Play store

This was something I was missing. It’s critical for Google to be able to relay what services your carrier (mine is T-Mobile) can offer to your phone.

3. Enable RCS in your app and you’re good to go!
